Testimonials
I wanted to thank you very much for a
great product. I purchase your product the other day at TBC here in Dallas and
wow did it make my boat and motor look great. I am in the process of selling my
boat, and your product help it look 5 years younger. Thank again!!!
Your
product is easy to apply and works like gold. It keeps my boat looking newer
than new.
I bought BBS at Dixie Marine in
Fairfield Ohio and it is the best product that I have used to clean my bass boat
ever! I have since bought another bottle and after a day on my lake I quickly
cleaned my rig right after trailering and I cannot believe how easy it was.
I recently fished a Women's
Bassmaster Tournament on Lake Lewisville, Texas and watched a demonstration of
your product by members of the Freedom Lady Anglers bass club. I am a very hard
person to convince about a product and will not usually purchase a product on
the spot. However, I was very impressed by the demonstration and bought the
spray bottle to bring back to North Carolina to test on my 1995 BassCat.
My boat has been setting under a shelter since October 2005. It was so covered
in pollen and cobwebs that you couldn't tell what color it is. Common sense told
me I should at least rinse it off with a garden hose before I tried Bass Boat
Saver, but the main reason I purchased the product was because of the fact that
you don't have to wash your boat to use it. So, I followed the directions and
within an hour, I had my boat looking almost good as new. I also used it to
clean my truck and I was equally impressed. My only regret is that I didn't take
a before and after picture of my boat. Thanks for a great product.

I recently purchased BBS and
applied it as soon as I opened the box. I have an older bass boat (which is
still in excellent shape) that has lost its shine over the years, until now!!
Your product brought back the long lost shine that I hadn't seen in years and
with very little effort. I couldn't believe how easy it was. You have an A-1
product and you I will let the shine do the talking.
Awesome!!!
I wish you all the best.

Protecting Your Boat Finish
By Larry Self
For tournament fishermen, having your
boat exposed to the elements is as routine as catching crappie. There’s no way
around having the sun take its toll on your boat’s finish. Or is there? Modern
times equal modern solutions, and as time has changed so has the options for
taking care of the boat that takes you to and from weigh-ins.
Jason Roberts, a vice-president in charge of sales at Bass Boat Saver, said,
“The single biggest factor that affects your boat’s protective finish is the sun
and its ultraviolet rays. The gel coat that protects the boat’s finish is
susceptible to the harmful rays of the sun which causes oxidation or the white
look that we all deal with. Oxidation leads to other problems that require
expensive repair for problems like blistering and blooming of the finish itself.
Moisture trapped in the coating will look like a white haze or a bloom”.
According to their website, exposure to ozone and ultraviolet light causes the
polymers in gel coats to gradually breakdown. Anglers can think of this
oxidation process as “plastic rust”. When the surface oxidizes, pores in the gel
coat fill with oxidized resin molecules called “chalk”. This chalk eventually
turns gel coats a dull, unattractive, opaque color.
Bass Boat Saver has developed the most recent and highly regarded finish care
product on the market. Roberts said, “Once oxidation has led to blooming or
other harmful effects there’s no going back. The key to your protecting your
tournament boat’s finish is prevention. And that’s where their product comes
in”.
The solution is a one step, one application protective step that seals the pores
on your boats gel coat. The product is a water based sealant that has a carnauba
type wax base. It not only protects your boat but restores the showroom shine by
removing scum lines and even road tar.
By a one step application, Roberts said “it’s as easy as applying Bass Boat
Saver at the ramp after you get off the water. You spray the product on and wipe
it off with a damp cloth. The use of a moist cloth helps to even out the product
and makes it go a little farther. It’s a prevention basic”.
Every time you get off the water is Roberts’ top recommendation saying it works
best if you use it in this manner. Not only does Bass Boat Saver protect your
finish, it’s also effective on any plastic or rubber molding found on your boat.
Apply it to your console instruments and also around your transom and boat motor
for the full effect. Your boat will lose that worn out look and have a makeover
a plastic surgeon would be proud of.
Like Roberts said, “prevention is the best cure for anything that could happen
to your finish. He also said he recommends that boat owners use boat covers when
storing or trailering their boat. It’s that old adage that an ounce of
prevention is worth, well worth a lot of money when it comes to tournament
fishing. If you can’t store your boat inside out of the elements, a boat cover
will save you a lot of trouble, and then applying Bass Boat Saver is the
insurance you need to protect the finish from the inevitable exposure to the
sun”.
On their website, the company said Bass Boat Saver cleans, preserves, and UV
protects your boat, in addition to leaving a nice, waxed look. Fast-acting
ingredients deliver a long-lasting and durable finish. After coming off of the
water, apply Bass Boat Saver to the boat, motor, and trailer, as well as the
seats, console, and trailer tires.
They said they’ve observed boat owners at the ramp using glass cleaner or some
other harsh chemical to clean their boat after a day on the water. These
products break down the gel coat and clear coat. UV rays from the sun will
damage these finishes also. With continued use of Bass Boat Saver, the company
said your boat, motor, trailer, and all accessories will retain a deep, rich
color and will be protected from the elements. The best news is that Bass Boat
Saver is completely biodegradable and is no danger to our fisheries.
Jason,
Just wanted to drop a quick line to tell you thanks again for the prompt
shipment in my order of the Bass Boat Saver. As I told you, I was very eager to
try it because of all the good things I had heard about it, and boy were they
right!!
My local lake here is what most would call "very dirty". It is lined with
somewhere in the neighborhood of 2000 piers, twice as many camps, and more
pleasure boats on the weekends than you can count. Needless to say, there is
quite a stain to the water, and it can leave a vicious scum line on your hull.
However, I have always kept my hulls waxed, so clean up was never really a
problem. 15-20 minutes with a good cleaner, and the hull was back looking shiny.
Every few months, I would spend a couple hours waxing it down again, and life
was good....or so I thought.
When I got the bottle of BBS I ordered and immediately went out to the boat and
shined up everything on it from the motor bracket to the electronics housings. I
must say, it was a pleasure to be able to clean, "wax", and protect every single
thing in and on my boat with one product (in about 20 minutes I might
add)....but that wasn't what sold me. Let me first say that you guys should put
a warning label on that thing...my boat literally had such a glossy finish that
it had never had before that I saw "defects" in my fiberglass that had never
appeared before (I will definitely take a bottle with me next time I purchase a
boat!!). Anyway, back to what sold me. As I said, I have always had a scum line
when I took my boat the lake here by the house, and simply wiped it down with a
good cleaner when taking it out of the water to clean it up. The first trip out
with it was about a 6 hour trip, and I knew that it would be dirty.
Unfortunately, it was late, and I was tired, so I drug it all the way home and
planned on wiping it down under the carport once there. I backed the boat in,
grabbed my bottle of BBS, cut on the carport lights, walked over to the boat,
and had to wonder if one of my light bulbs had gone out under the carport!!
Never, and I mean never, have I left that lake where I didn't have a scum line
on my boat, but there was none this time!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. Next
trip, same results. Over and over again I do the same thing. I fully expect at
some point to see an inkling of scum, but it never shows up. Needless to say, I
am sold for life. The way I look at it, if a product can keep my boat from even
getting dirty, then why would I need anything else to clean it?
I have tried many different waxes and cleaners through the years on my boats,
and let's be realistic about it. Most of the products out there intended to give
your boat a shine will give it one. Most of the products out there intended to
clean your hull will clean it (even though they can't clean every single thing
in your boat like the Bass Boat Saver can). But none of them I have tried will
do all of that in one step, not to mention keep the scum and dirt from sticking
to it in the first place!! My seats look new, my motor looks like it was never
in the water, and my boat looks like the day it came off the showroom floor.
Thanks for such a great product, and put my name on the permanent mailing
list...I will be a very loyal customer.
Thanks again,
Chad Dauthier

Dear Mr. Roberts,
I recently purchased a bottle of your Bass Boat Saver from the Outdoorsman
Sports Shop. I am pleased to report to you that your product made the clean up
of my boat and truck an easy task.
I sprayed the hull with a small amount of Bass Boat Saver and wiped off the dirt
and scum with ease. I was amazed at the shine Bass Boat Saver left on my boat as
well as my outboard motor.
I also use Bass Boat Saver on my tow vehicle. After washing and drying my truck
I spray a small amount of Bass Boat Saver on and wiped off the excess. Bass Boat
Saver leaves a beautiful shine and protection form road dirt and grime.
Thank you for a wonderful product that cleans and protects my boat as well as my
tow vehicle with one easy application.
Very best regards,
Chris Fisher
